HANDS

I got this from my friend Laura Guidry at a moment in my night that I really really needed it. Thanks Laura!!

A basketball in my hands is worth about $19. A basketball in Michael Jordan's hands is worth about $33 million. It depends whose hands it's in.

A baseball in my hands is worth about $6. A baseball in Roger Clemens' hands is worth $4.75 million. It depends on whose hands it's in.

A tennis racket is useless in my hands. A tennis racket in Andre Agassi's hands is worth millions. It depends whose hands it's in.

A rod in my hands will keep away an angry dog. A rod in Moses' hands will part the mighty sea. It depends whose hands it's in.

A slingshot in my hands is a kid's toy. A slingshot in David's hand is a mighty weapon. It depends whose hands it's in.

Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches. Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in Jesus' hands will feed thousands. It depends whose hands it's in.

Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse. Nails in Jesus Christ's hands will Produce salvation for the entire world. It depends whose hands it's in.

As you see now, it depends whose hands it's in. So put your concerns, your worries, your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your families and your relationships in God's hands because... It depends whose hands it's in.

My Biker Chick

Here's Savannah in her cool Harley Shirt. Her Uncle Jon and Aunt Joannie gave it to Emily when she was about 18 months. Savannah's new gloves just go with it perfectly. This is the Dr's solution to Savannah picking at her thumbs and making them bleed. We'll see! Oh, I also ordered some cream that is "guaranteed to clear up eczema in 24-48 hours". HA! Desperation will make you believe crazy things!!

Update on Savannah

Well, I guess she wasn't fine. She has another ear infection. I'm glad I took her in. Her Dr. also said "we needed to do something about her skin". REALLY??? Man, I didn't know there was anything wrong with her skin. Sheesh. Sometimes I wonder if he reads her records. Anyway, she's on antibiotics again, and hopefully will be all better soon! By the way...the crazy hair is from her having piggy tails in her hair all day....and it's kinda blury because she NEVER stands still!!!

Random Pictures and Goings On

Emily had her hair cut yesterday. Ever since I cut off about 8 inches, I love it short, and don't let it get too long! When we walked in, she saw a lady getting her hair "painted" and said, "Mommy, can I get my hair painted blonde?" Is she going to be high maintenance or what? Her "2nd layer bangs" (for those of you who know us, you know what I'm talking about) are almost there. Maybe by next haircut, it'll all be one length.

The roses are in full bloom here in dusty 'ole dry Texas. I have 4 different colors on the side of my house. Next year, someone remind me to take care of the rose bushes...they have potential to be really pretty!!

Savannah is going back to the dr today. We've been well for a month, so it's time to be sick again, I guess. Her respiratory system is just not quite right and she has a fever. I figured it was better to be safe than sorry. Of course, she's FINE this morning.

Daddy's Idea of "Can you get Savannah dressed?"

Just kidding. He said he walked into her room and she was trying her hardest to get this dress on, so he just put it on her. So funny. She was pretty proud.

Our Happy/Sad Sunday Pictures

Emily and Savannah were both wearing new dresses this morning. Emily hated her because the neck and sleeves were "too tight". I made her wear it this morning, but I'm sure I'll never get it on her again. Savannah's was a new one that my mom bought her while they were out here. She had a great morning, and Emily was too, so I thought, "YAY! Picture day." Then, Emily's lip split open from them bring chapped and her picking at it. So, here are before and after pictures.

Fun With Meme and Papa

The girls have had SO much fun with their Meme and Papa. Brian and I have too, but grandparents somehow have time and willingness to do things moms and dads don't. Thanks for loving our babies!!

I'm Am So Tired Of....

Politics. Is there anything else going on in the world? There are still men and women fighting in the Middle East, and all you hear about that is the candidates opinion on how wrong it's being led. There are 416 children in Texas that are being ripped away from their Mommies and sisters and brothers.....what's happening to these kids? My question is this....are CNN and FOX going to go out of business after November of next year? There will be so much dead air time. No, THEN they'll spend 4 years reporting how badly THIS candidate (who can NOW do no wrong) is doing at running this country. Grrrr.

I'll Get You My Pretty......

And I wish it had gotten their little dog, too! EVERY time my mom comes out here, we have a tornado...something. Watch, warning..something happens when my mom comes. It doesn't matter if it's April or December. Well, this time was no different. Yesterday, however, was the first time the "Giant Voice" (only military will know what that is) said, "A tornado is approaching....take cover immediately." So, my mom and the girls went and got into the "tornado room" (which is really a storage closet that we cleaned out as fast as possible), while Brian and Dad stood out on the swing set and looked for the tornado. I stood in the doorway yelling at them that they were going to get hit by the tornado or lightening. They assured me that if a tornado was coming, they'd be able to see it because they could see the exact cell that it would come from. OK! Here are the yucky clouds that they were watching. Oh, by the way, nothing happend. Too bad....I was hoping the dog next door would get carried away. But if he got carried away, then I'm sure my house wouldn't have faired much better, so praise the LORD!

Boogity, Boogity, Boogity Let's Go Racin' Boys!!

Ok, so if you're not a NASCAR fan, that title means nothing to you. But, DW always says it right before the Green flag.....never mind. Anyway. This past Sunday, Brian and I went to the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth for the Samsung 500. It was SOO much fun. My parents are still here, so we didn't have to worry about the girls at ALL! Thanks mom and dad! My driver (#48, Jimmy Johnson) came in second. Brian's (#88 Dale Jr.) came in.......well, he didn't do so well. I think he ended up 14th, but he led a good deal of the race, so it was exciting for Brian, too. Anyway, ok, so it's kinda redneck, but we LOVE it!!!

Our Trip to the Falls

Well, we've been here for 2 and a half years, and hadn't been to "the" Wichita Falls. So, my parents came and decided we should take Emily. It was quite a bit of fun.....I guess....for Wichita Falls. ha ha Here are some pictures from our day.
