Happy Thanksgiving!

During art class today (you like that? It makes it sound like we do it every week!), Emily and Savannah made a Blessing Plant. They listed things they are thankful for. The list ranged from sweet to funny to outright, "Huh?"

Vannah was thankful for (she really came up with these on her own):

Papa, trees, my kitten (her latest favorite stuffed animal), God, Emily, Popeye, and the girl from Popeye (I have no idea)

Emily's list:

Meme, Snowball (her latest favorite stuffed animal), Jesus, grapes, water, love, the Bible, Savannah, the sun, and rain.

They had a good time, and it was neat to hear what they're thankful for. Even if daddy and I didn't make their list.

Random Happenings

We've had some busy times the last couple weeks. It's been fun!! I just wanted to share a couple pics from our happenings.

The girls have enjoyed our warm temperatures and have been spending a lot of time outside. Yes, that is our screen door laying on the ground substituting for a boat, I believe.



Our friends Ray and Keren came to visit on their way to Idaho. They are PCS-ing to Mt. Home AFB. It's going to be so weird for them not to be in NC when we go visit. While they were here, they announced that their first baby is due in July. SO excited for them .


Emily loves to do art work with Keren (who is a real live artist. :) )


I posted this picture only so you can notice poor, tired, Ray in the background. His peace was short lived....

See? Savannah decided she wanted to take a nap, too.

He soon gave up.

And finally, a little note my sweet daughter left on the kitchen counter. Love to see how the Holy Spirit guides her. She prayed today that if God wanted her to go to Italy (random country) to tell others about Him, she would go...if I would let her. :)

I'm not excited in the least, can you tell?? We decided to send Emily on a scavenger hunt for her birthday and give her little clues before the big reveal that we're going to Disney World! We're going to keep it a surprise that Meme and Papa are meeting us there. Can NOT wait!!!!!

Fall Fun

A couple weeks ago, I saw on Food Network one of the chefs making donuts! I thought, "Hm, we've never done that before, let's try it!" So, last Saturday, we made donuts as a family. The recipe was for "Copycat Krispe Kreme Donuts". Well, they weren't Krispe Kreme, but they were pretty yummy...the first day. They didn't store very well. But, the girls had a good time, and that's what matters.
