**UPDATE**
My mom's sonogram went well. It showed that the arteries in her neck were not in enough trouble to do anything to them. Her surgery was rescheduled for tomorrow afternoon." I'm not sure exactly what time. SPECIAL THANK YOU to my friend Tory who went to see my mom when I could not be there. I know your smile and laugh helped her get through a rough time, and it meant a LOT to me. Thank you!
I'm not sure the fastest way to get the word out. We need prayer for my mom. She is in Wake Med Hospital about to undergo triple bypass surgery. This was VERY unexpected.
Her Dr. sent her up there for a heart catheterization because she was having chest pains in his office. She argued and complained (she thought her peanut butter toast gave her heart burn). He did an EKG and everything looked normal. He told her to go have the catheterization done just to be safe. Well, after that procedure, they didn't want her to go home. Two arteries are 90% blocked and 1 is 70% blocked. They are doing an ultrasound this morning to see how the arteries in her neck are. Thursday, she will have heart surgery.
This is really difficult for me, obviously. Not that this is all about me, I realize it's not. I was told adamantly by both my parents not to come home. I was going to anyway, because my husband (for those of you who know the story with HIS mom, know there's a lot of emotions there about heart problems) told me I needed to (leave and cleave, right?? Submitting to my husband outweighs honoring my father and mother??). But, he called and talked to them and they changed his mind. So, I'm not going, but I'm praying as hard as I know how.
So, remember my mom in the next few days. I'll try to keep you updated. There are a lot of decisions that need to be made about my grandmother. She lives with them, but my mom will not be able to take care of her for a while. My dad is traveling back and forth (146 miles round trip), so pray for his travel safety and for his strength. Thanks to all of you in advance. I'll post again after her ultrasound this morning!

Will definitely be praying. Isn't WakeMed right here in Raleigh? If you want, I can go visit her. (Can you maybe e-mail her room number? Or is she in CCU?) Also, if you do need to come to town, you let me know, and I can make arrangements to pick you up at the airport. You could even stay with me here in Raleigh. Just in case. (That is if you can stand the mess...I am still unpacking and moving in.) Bottomline, we will be praying. Keep us informed.
Jennifer, David and I will be praying and I will put your Mom on the prayer chain and prayer list at our church this morning - thank you for letting us know, Linda Weaver
We are praying Jennifer. Keep us posted. Love you girl, Tracy
Big prayers are coming from Ohio!!
Ben & I will add your mom to our prayers (& you and your family as well!).
We're praying too! Let me know what else (if anything) I can do, Jenn. Love you!!
She really is in good spirits, but she's just a teensy-weensy bit nervous. I made sure that she was sleepy before leaving, and I think she will be in good hands. Hope you are holding up. It was good to "chat" even briefly. Your mother is an absolute riot. I probably won't go up tomorrow, but I will try to go back up later in the week. Will be in touch, TW
