Ok, the titles lame, but it's the best I could do. Here's the update from dad:
Tuesday night was a very difficult night for Linda. I won’t go into all the details – thanks for praying.
After waiting all day yesterday to be moved to the rehab center, Linda finally got to her room around 3-3:30 PM. Things got off to a bad start with her feeding being late resulting in a drop in her sugar to 46. Then her night feeding was late also. Her blood sugar didn’t drop very low, but by 7:30 she had developed a lot of pain and asked for pain medication which she didn’t receive until almost an hour later. Then there was a mix up in another medication she was taking prior to coming to the rehab center. NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH THE INITIAL IMPRESSION OF THE PLACE!!
Visiting hours are 4-8 PM only, even for the family. I was politely “asked to leave” by the head nurse around 9 PM last night.
Linda slept better last night than Tuesday night. I talked with her this morning around 8:30 and she sounded pretty good. Our main goal now is to get her to swallowing again.
Some have asked for an address to send cards. I have been telling people to send cards to our home address and I will take them to her.
Thanks again for the many cards, e-mails, phone calls and help from our church family here in Goldsboro. Ladies from Grace have brought meals to Linda’s mom this week. Thanks to Fay for coordinating this for me. Also, a special note of thanksgiving to Susan, Linda’ long time friend, who sat with her most of the day Wednesday and was a great source of comfort and encouragement. “Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man's FRIEND by hearty counsel”. (Proverbs 27:9) Many have offered to help and we are grateful for the resources we have available through you – our FAMILY IN CHRIST.
In His Love,
Joe

I have found as we have moved my mom around they always have a problem getting the info correct. Tell you Dad not to be afraid of letting people know he is unhappy about the feeding schedule. I know nobody likes to wait for their meal but when it affects other things physically they need to be a little more on top of it. Just remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Ahhh, that title is not lame : ) Glad that she made it over to the rehab place, hopefully today goes much better! I will continue to pray for you all. Thanks for the updates!
