The Winter season, I mean. Should Winter be capitalized???? I don't know...anyway. For those of you who don't have the privilege to know us personally, let me give you a recap of last Fall/Winter:
September '07 -Jennifer has Mono
October '07- Emily Pink Eye
December '07 -Emily pneumonia
January '08- Savannah RSV/Pneumonia
February '08- Savannah Ear Infection/Pink eye, Jennifer Mono (again)
March '08- Emily ear infection/bronchitis, Jennifer pneumonia, Savannah ear infection/stomach flu
June '08 - Savannah Rotovirus and has to be hospitalized
OK, so I guess that goes into Summer, but that's not even all of the little fevers and colds. That's just the big stuff. So, it's that time again. It's November, so I guess we're a little behind schedule. I took the girls to the doctor this morning and they both have ear infections and pneumonia. Eek!! I praise the Lord that I seem to have caught it early enough. They are both on antibiotics, and Savannah is on nebulizer treatments.
We have a lot going on......We decided to stop Emily's piano lessons. I can't guarantee the teacher that Emily will be there from week to week (hello! Look at last winter), and it's not fair to her to keep her wondering week to week if we are going to make it.
I guess I haven't mentioned on here that Brian will be deploying soon. When we agreed to come here, one of the perks was that he wouldn't have to deploy. HA! Oh well. It's for 4 months, and it's not to too bad of a place. Things could be worse. The popular question is, "Will you go home?" Well....not for 4 months. My parents don't welcome my kitty, and I can't leave him for 4 months. Plus, the girls skin is TERRIBLE back home, and every time they have to go to the doctor (hello! Look at last winter!) I would have to take them to the ER. Not fun. So, the next few months will be filled with appointments for him, and shopping for all the things he'll need while he's gone.
Our friend, Chris Bode, had to come back to Texas for a business trip. He and KC, Hunter and Ella moved to Washington last February. It's been a lot of fun to have him back, but I wish KC could have come with him. We had more fun with this family than we've had with friends in a LONG time, and we miss them SO much!!!
I guess that's about it. Sorry there are no pictures. My girls are pretty much in their PJ's all day, so I can't have them trouncing around the Internet in their pajamas! :) Hope everyone is having a good week and praying for this country! We need it!!

Maybe this winter will be better since you are home schooling and do not have Emily in the school system. I do not know if you believe in the airborn stuff but the have it in a kids size. I have started it myself to try to build up my immune system. Working in a day care baby room after being out of the working world for 18 years and the girls not out in the school system we have not been exposed to everything. I have been working almost 6 months and have been on antibiotics 2 times.
Will be praying for you and your family with all that you have going on. Saw your parents at the Wirligig Festival. It was great to them out!!
What rough winter colds you guys get! That's awful. I use to get sick a lot every winter...mostly with the flu and sinus infections continuously. I take a liquid multi-vitamin called Intramax. I order it from evitalhealth.com. What a difference it's made in my immunity. Most of my family takes it and they all see a difference too. It's a bit expensive, but yet it keeps us well and we don't have all those bills from the dr. visits and scripts so i'm sure it evens out. I know there is a kid intramax too. If you sign up on evitalhealth.com you get an automatic discount on their products.
I'm praying fervently for our country too.
That sucks that Brian is deploying : ( I wish I could have come too, but no money here. We moved in with mom to save money and instead it's just flying out the door before we can even get it, I wrote a check yesterday for $760 to the dentist so he could torture me. Then all this crap with Ella, can't wait to see those bills 20% sure adds up when one stupid test cost $1600, and she will have had 4 by next week in the past 3 weeks alone. Oh well, at least she is getting good healthcare now, all things that should have been taken care of in the first few months of her life, gotta love that free healthcare : ) Miss you!!! Love, KC
I'm not sure what the recommended dosage is for the kid intramax. The adult one is 1/2 ounce in the morning and 1/2 ounce in the afternoon. We take it every morning religiously but often forget to take it in the afternoon. With Mike and I both taking it one bottle lasts us about a month. When I order it from evitalhealth.com I always order at least two bottles because orders over a $100 are free shipping.
Hey Jennifer, I am sorry to hear that you and your girls are not feeling well. I will be praying that you all get well soon and stay well. Elaine
Wow, that is crazy! You are definely on my prayer list!
Sounds like your winter season is a lot like ours. We tend to have more asthma related issues and an ongoing sinus/ear infection with Riley. YUCK! How long until summer?
Sorry you guys lost Kacey and Chris in Texas but I'm sure happy I found them here in Spokane.
