No, you're not confused with dates. Today is Emily's 1 year Spiritual Birthday. Last year, she came out from her bedroom and said, "Mommy, I just got saved!" Brian had been putting her to bed, and she asked Jesus to come live in her heart. As a parent, all these thoughts go through your mind, "Does she really know what she's doing?" "Does she understand everything?" "Is this for real?" Only the Holy Spirit can show you these things over time. We know for sure that Emily knew what she was doing and understands. Her heart is so tender towards the things of the Lord. I'm so thankful that she accepted the Lord at an early age and can spend the remainder of her time on earth living for HIM!
This is what she narrated to me to write in her Bible last year.
On Tuesday, October 30, 2007 I was forgiven of my sin. I asked Jesus to wash all my sins away. I want to go to Heaven. I asked Jesus to live in my heart. I asked Him to control me!
