This is so not what I'm supposed to be blogging about (I know you all can't wait for the Disney report), but I thought this was a really cool thing that my friend, Shannon, did, so I wanted to do it too.
Here is a brief overview of our decade:
2000
I started it in my junior year of college, engaged to the love of my life.
Finished it halfway done with my senior year of college and furiously planning a wedding
2001
Brian's mom died in April. Our first heartbreak as a couple.
Graduated college with my bachelors in Accounting.
Married Brian after 3 years of dating.
September 11th was the first time I felt both scared and proud to be a military spouse.
Started working as an accountant at a Home Health Agency.
2002
Was laid off in a company wide downsize 1 month after we found out I was pregnant.
Our precious firstborn daughter, Emily Anne was born in December of that year.
2003
Brian left for Qatar when Emily was just 5 weeks old.
My brother got married.
Brian came home in June.
2004
Brian was deployed again from June-September
Suffered our first miscarriage in November
2005
Another miscarriage occurred in April
Had 2 different surgeries
We found out in June that Brian had orders to Sheppard AFB, TX
Said good-bye to NC and my parents....sad day
2006
Found out I was pregnant with baby #4 in January.
Spent a LOT of time pleading with God to let us keep this baby.
My Savannah Lynn was born in September of this year.
2007
Spent a lot of the year agonizing over Savannah's skin
2008
A LOAD of health problems : 1 ambulance ride, 1 hospital stay, tons of antibiotics, my mom's heart surgery and everything thereafter.
Brian didn't pass his tech test...again!
2009
A piece of cake year in comparison to the last
Brian was deployed January-May (I was upheld by amazing people...you know who you are)
We had TWO amazing vacations with my parents.
Found out we had orders to our #1 choice, Langley AFB, VA
I visited my BFF Melanie in September
Brian sewed on Tech Sgt in November
Found out my sister/friend Sarah is expecting baby #3!!! A true miracle from God.
We have had some rough times. I don't know if the good outweighed the hard times, but I know that God is in control of it all. We have grown in our church in Wichita Falls more than we've ever grown in all our spiritual lives. We thank HIM for everything HE has given us. It all comes from HIM and we are blessed beyond measure.

AWESOME. Isn't it amazing to reflect on the growth and changes that can take place in just 10 years?
