Emily's Birthday

Emily had a great birthday! She said it was the best she'd ever had. I think she's said that about every birthday she's ever had. But, isn't that the way it's supposed to be? Here are some pictures from her day.

It started with a breakfast for champions....DONUTS!! Brian took her to get them (in the 5 degree weather...literally) while I set out all the clues for her annual birthday scavenger hunt.

One of her favorite presents of the day. A $5 stuffed Mickey Mouse.

Opening her Nintendo DS.

Meme and Papa can't leave out Savannah!

Skype-ing with Meme and Papa while we do the scavenger hunt. It was so neat to have them included on everything. Technology is wonderful!

I told her she could invite 2 friends to Chuck E. Cheese. She quickly convinced me that siblings count as one unit. We had a really good time.

She wanted a Mickey cake. An ice cream one....in December....do you recall the 5 degree weather? It wasn't much warmer that afternoon.

This is Axie, and this picture is just because she's cute.

(lol) Siblings count as one unit...that girl is smart and always thinking!

Every child should know that feeling of a whole day that is dedicated to celebrating their life, and at the end of the day declare "this was the best birthday ever!!" I see more and more why that is so important for a child to have that. You are a great family!

How fun! That's a great idea to do a scavanger hunt. I might have to try that. What age did you start at? Andrew is probably a bit too small still. Have fun in Disney!
